Merriam Webster defines charismatic as “of, relating to, or constituting charisma.” Webster defines charisma as, “personal magic of leadership, arousing special popular loyalty or enthusiasm for a public figure (as a political leader).” Charismatic is also a fitting description for Earl Graham. Those who know Earl speak highly of him. He has been married to his wife, Rhonda for 35 years, and is the proud father of three daughters; Lorinda, Johan, and Kristi.
After boarding a bus heading to Billings, Montana at the age of 19, Earl graduated the Western College of Auctioneering in 1972. Earl then returned home to own and operate a successful livestock and horse auction business. Throughout the years, Earl has been featured in articles and newspapers nationwide, and has participated in hundreds of charities to raise millions of dollars. He appeared in the movie “If Wishes Were Horses” with Dick Van Dyke. He has been named an Honorary Deputy. Shortly after holding their first COPS event in 1997, Earl and Rhonda founded Wild Horsemen of America (WHOA). In July 2008, Earl and Rhonda received the prestigious Arrowhead Award, which had not been awarded in twelve years. The Arrowhead Award honors community commitment and involvement. This award is definitely near the top of the list for Earl’s many accomplishments.
Growing up around the auctioneer lifestyle caused Johan, the middle of three daughters, to quickly catch the ‘auctioneer bug,’ as she and her father call it. A few hundred auctions and several short years later, Johan would graduate from the Western College of Auctioneering. Following in her fathers footsteps, she would go on to become a pioneer in women’s auctioneering.
Since Johan’s graduation, she has been honored with countless awards and continues to lead the way in a field that is majority males. Hosting thousands of events alone, Johan has left her mark upon the auctioneering world. She was the runner up in the National Auto Auction Championships, International Auctioneer Champion Finalist, and California State Auctioneering Champion. She is the first Female ever to earn these great merits in most of the preceding categories. Johan is also the first female to ever auction in the Philippines.
